Whisper mode keeps inserting thank you at the end of my writing for no reason.

I switched to whisper mode because… Soniox kept inserting em dashes, which makes my writing look like it’s written by AI. But now I have an issue where, in Whisper mode, it just keeps inserting thank you at the end of my writing, and it’s very frustrating

    Hey! This is a known Whisper hallucination. It sometimes generates phrases like "thank you" when there's silence or very little audio. We're working on reducing these hallucinations.

    In the meantime, I'd recommend switching back to Soniox and creating a Custom Mode that removes em dashes from your transcription.

    Here's how to set it up on Windows:

    1. Open BlabbyAI and go to Settings → Modes → Create Mode.

    2. Give your mode a name, like

    3. Add an instruction such as: "Remove all em dashes (—) from the text. 

      Remove all em dashes from my text. Don't change the meaning.
Remove false starts, repeated phrases, self-corrections, and abandoned thoughts.
If I change my mind mid-sentence, keep only the final intended meaning.

    4. Select GPT-OSS-120B as the model. It's one of the fastest models we offer, so the additional processing should be quick.

    5. Save your mode.

    You can also assign a keyboard shortcut to make it easier to use:

    1. Go to Settings → Shortcuts

    2. Find your new mode and assign a shortcut of your choice. You can also replace your default shortcut if you prefer.

    Now you can use Soniox with your Custom Mode to automatically clean up those em dashes.

    We'll continue working on improving Whisper so these hallucinations happen less frequently!
