Recording cut off

Firstly, Blabby is great. I really appreciate the effort from the dev team, thank you.

However, almost every dictation session I make is cut off at the end. For example, if I say a paragraph with 3 sentences, the last sentence will almost always be removed from the dictation. Which means I then have to repeat the final sentence.

I’ve consistently had this issue from day 1 (since last year), which I’ve tried to live with, but I am now looking for an alternative solution if I can find no way to resolve this.

I don’t know if it is a hardware issue, but I’ve tried all combinations of configuration that I can think of, to no avail. I’ve tried waiting a couple seconds after speaking, before I close the session, but that doesn’t make a difference.

In addition, as a side note, I have a “Direct” mode with AI instructions of “Transcribe my speech exactly as I say it”, but it still regularly changes what I say in some minor way.

    Hey Rowan, thanks for giving it a try.

    Please try turning off Auto Gain Control and Echo Cancellation in the app.

    On Windows auto gain can lower your voice near the end so the last words drop below detection, and echo cancellation can remove parts of your speech, especially if your PC is playing audio (YouTube, Spotify, etc).

    Then click Windows Sound Settings and make sure the microphone input level isn’t low. Increase the mic volume.

    If it still happens, it would really help if you could send a short video showing a dictation getting cut off so I can see exactly what’s happening.
