Feature request: Copy/keep live transcription in OS clipboard (focus-independent dictation)

Hello Blabby.ai team,

I’d like to request a feature that keeps the transcription output available in the operating system clipboard so it can be pasted into any application on demand.

Use case / problem
Currently, dictation/transcription requires the target application (or Blabby.ai itself) to be in focus. This limits workflows where the user wants to dictate continuously and paste the text into different apps (RIS/PACS reporting tools, browsers, documents, chat apps, etc.) without switching focus back and forth.

Requested capability
Add an option to automatically copy and keep the most recent transcription in the OS clipboard, so the user can paste it anywhere regardless of which app is currently focused.

Suggested behavior

  • Toggle setting: “Keep transcription in clipboard” (ON/OFF)

  • When ON:

    • Clipboard always contains the latest transcribed text (continuously updated or updated on pauses)

    • Or alternatively: copy only when a phrase/final segment is confirmed

  • Shortcut option:

    • Hotkey to copy the latest transcription to clipboard (even if the app is not focused)

    • Optional hotkey to paste directly into the active application

Benefits

  • Enables true “focus-independent dictation”

  • Faster clinical/reporting workflows

  • Allows transcription to be used universally across apps without integration per-app

If needed, I can provide additional workflow examples and expected behavior details for Windows/macOS.
