Beta Version of Windows: First Impressions and a Wish for More Flexibility

Feature Request

I just tried out the beta version of Windows, and overall, I’m positively surprised. The system already makes a good impression.

However, I would have liked more flexibility with the taskbar. Since I work with multiple screens, it would be ideal if I could freely move the taskbar between monitors. A feature that allows the taskbar to dynamically adapt to the desired screen would significantly improve usability.

    Having used the app extensively over Christmas, I found that the pop-up icon bar at the bottom of the screen is very convenient. However, it covers buttons that I need to click and cannot move elsewhere. The bar auto-hides a little too slowly.

    Therefore, it would be very useful if I could reposition this icon bar anywhere on the screen at will.

      Hey Thomas, this feature is already planned. In the meantime, you can change the toolbar UI in the Appearance settings so it won’t show any toolbar when it’s not in use. The toolbar can still be activated with shortcuts only, if that works for you.

    Yes, it seems to work quite well. I like the fact that you can see the little black stripe there. The only problem is that I have four monitors up and running, and it only appears on the laptop one, which is my smallest and the one I don't use for normal work.
