Adding the GPT-5.2 model to custom modes

The day before yesterday a new model, GPT-5.2, was released. I’d really like to see this model in the list of options for custom mods.

But if you do add it, please make sure to add the non-reasoning version, because it takes a very long time to think, and overall the cost of the reasoning model for you will be about 5–7 times higher than the non-reasoning one. That’s just not economically reasonable, and for the user, such long reasoning isn’t really desirable either.

      Awesome, thanks a ton. I’ve already tested this new model—it feels just as fast as GPT‑5.1 to me.

      And just like I figured, it handles more complex prompts a bit better when transcribing, and it’s way better at putting the text together coherently.

    Right now, I’m actively using the GPT‑5.2 model in my own business activities. It’s genuinely good, so I can only imagine how great it’ll be in custom modes for transcription.

      I haven't tested it yet, but I think it should be okay. We're having a login issue, so I'm fixing that before adding 5.2. But you can expect it to be live today.

      Okay, I tested it. There’s an option to disable reasoning entirely, but it’s still quite a bit slower than the others.
